RE: Hole in RV Entry Door

You know that the outside skin is simply GLUED on to the door.
Check with your dealer, you just may be able to buy a new door skin, should be far cheaper than a new door or having a body shop fixit. I would have to agree that a sticker will well just show the mess underneath it after a while.
Accidents happen but with a relatively new RV you may as well get it fixed right the first time. Other wise the hole will haunt you every time you go to open the door.
^^^^
Agreed, your rig it too new. If the dealer can't help contact the factory for a new door.
When I had a minor service issue the factory rep not only repaired the issue but also replaced several other things that he found on his own.

RE: Looking for 32' fifth wheel toy hauler to haul Jeep Wrangler

My buddy is looking for a 32' max overall fifth wheel toy hauler to haul his Jeep Wrangler. It's lifted but should fit most if upper rear bed is taken out.
Looking in the ads is quite overwhelming, and most don't post enough info about capacity or cargo size overall. Anyone have any recommendations? Location is San Diego but can go to AZ or similar for the right rig.
Jeep is about 14' maybe a tad more front bumper to back of spare tire (which could come off if necessary for hauling). She weighs about #4200 wet.
A Ragen Blackhawk 34 or 38 should do the trick.

RE: need tips for non-comm class A - update on Pg 2

Well here's the steps for anyone needing them. My unit is a F-250 super cab/short bed 4WD. The TH is a WW FSC2800 bumper tow. The test course is 12' wide by your overall rig lenght plus 10'. This 10' is a magic number that makes everything work well.
1)Pull along the cones straight and parallel, place the left front cone (LFC) 2/3's the way between your last axle and the Right rear corner of your TH (the 2/3 is towards the rear of the TH).
2) Cut the steering wheel hard to enter the space at a 30 degree angle, watch the right side mirror.
3) When the right rear coner of the TH reaches the center of the parking space cut back hard to straighten out. On my truck it was full steering wheel lock.
4) You will begin to see the left rear corner of the TH come back in your left mirror. Aim the left rear corner of the TH 2-3' inside the Left rear cone. (With the width of the course you don't have to worry about the right side.) As you continue let the Left corner move to 1-2' inside the cone.
5) Begin to striaghten ASAP and back as far back as you can towards the cone.
6) Look over your hood or along the left frt fender for the L/F cone and pull forward to help straighten out. Again aim for 2' inside the cone.
Note: At 1st I was concerned about the L/F cone as I couldn't see it, but found that I never got close to it. Also, If you cut back as the Right Rear corner crosses the centerline you won't cross over the curb border.
Try this and adjust as needed. Hope this helps someone.
Hap
Just out of curiosity where you allowed to have the truck jack knifed with the front end sticking out a little? I know with the CDL testing that is ok.
It's OK.
It's the same exercise as the alley docking.

RE: clearance/side light

I added an additional side marker/turn signal midway on my rig.
It made a bid difference for those idiots that are in the blindspot.

RE: Funny (not) thing happened while we were at Pismo...

After reading this thread for a bit now, I would like to put in my $.02. I agree that the actions of the guys haulin’ assets across the beach was stupid. But what bothers me is how did they become drug dealers or rich punk kinds. My parents where and still are not rich. I did not get more than a good upbringing from them. But yet all my adult life I have been looked at funny. I am a Hispanic male who by my own actions eared six figures by the time I was 25. By the time I was 30 I had earned my first mill. Now at 40 I own two successful companies with assets exceeding $20 mil. I have over 30 people working for me. But yet even now it is still assumed by many that because I have $100k+ AMG in the garage that I am drug dealer or that I am a bad parent because when I die my kid gets it all? Like RRC/AMC said “I WORKED for it! How do we know the young punk tatted up kids don’t work off-shore or in construction? Prevailing wage is now up to $48 per hr. What if at worst the guys are guilty of being idiots for their driving and morons for being financially irresponsible?

You might alreadt know this.
FYI, I was told by a Onan rep to always treat the fuel with Sta-Bil because the Onan carbs will easily gum up.

RE: Brake lights problems on the WW

To agree woth above posts it sounds like a bad/dirth ground.
Check the ground where it ends at the TV, (either at a chassis point or - Battery connection).

RE: Charging batteries from truck

If your truck and trailer have a 7-Way connection and is wired correctly your TV should charge the trailer when the trailer's battery cut-off switch is "on." connecting the trailer batteries to the circuit.

RE: Warrior's assets siezed

I'm curious why WW and Ragen didn't file some sort of Bankruptcy Reorganization.
Several major companies have used reorgs and saved their bacon and survived.
Any thoughts?

I would, and make sure to get a good extended warranty.
Have you checked Richardsons Rv in Riverside.
Last I checked they had a few Ragen 5ers. They're online.

RE: LED's Lighting requirements and reflectors

The conspicuity tape you added meets the reflector requirements. Essentially, the rear must have a red facing reflector on each side visible from 500'. The tape will meet that requirement. The reflectors don't have to be part of the taillight.
Bryan and others -
Might want to look closely here -if you want to fully meet FMVSS 108 standards -especially if you have a > 30' length trailer that is > 80" wide and or > 10,000 lb GVWR.
You need all 12 items as stated in the link posted above
Link above again
We just bought a Ragen FA3005 and it doesn't actually meet the FMVSS 108 standards :( :h So will be contacting Ragen concerning this issue and a couple of others.
Map Guy
I flush mounted an LED turn signal right in front of the steps of my FA3005. It makes those knuckleheads that drive in your blind stop take notice. PM me your email and I'll shoot you a pic.
